FORTUNATE SONS covers all the taboo topics, from Skull and Bones and the Bush family skeletons to the Hegelian War on Terror’s dismal failures.

 

Although the documentary definitely takes a position on many issues, viewers may be surprised when it does not follow a predictable path on some “hot button” topics. This is one of the important aims of FORTUNATE SONS.

FORTUNATE SONS is a documentary by film maker Jonathan Nolan.

 

The documentary provides a lot of raw footage cut from mainstream media, military channels, terrorist propaganda and research sources.

 

The technique is that of William S. Burroughs’ “cut up”- with dissonant images that appeal on one level while repelling on another the audience are forcefully invited to confront and THINK.

JONATHAN NOLAN lives and works on the east coast of Australia. He is a previously published author currently working on a new novel as well as on a series of extremely “off the wall” or as he prefers to call them “punk” documentaries.

 

His previous films include SILENCE IS GOLDEN, ROUND TABLES, ORDER OF THE GOLDFISH and the award-winning short NEMATONA.

 

He is also the author of several computer games, tabletop RPGs and puzzle books.
